Be Visible, Be Vocal, Be Valued:

Social Coaching & Communications Coaching

What is a social coach?

A social coach helps you develop the social skills you need to be successful -- personally and professionally. A social coach helps you and your team develop socially acceptable behavior, based on the audience and the context or circumstances. Social coaching includes both the behavioral and emotional aspects of social interaction with emphasis on the verbal and non-verbal cues that are essential to enjoying seamless and fruitful social activities.

What is a Communications Coach?

A communications coach helps you improve your interpersonal communication skills, your public speaking skills, or both.

The goal is to help you be more effective in your role.

A communication coach can help you bridge the gap between where you are as an inspirer, persuader, entertainer, or teacher and where you want to be.

Many speakers (even good ones) fail to consider the needs and the unique perspectives of their audiences.

Working with a communications coach will elevate the way you speak, write, gesture, listen, train, console, sell, demonstrate, and observe. You'll have more

clarity about your objectives and more confidence in your ability to be effective.

How do you know if you need one?

If you struggle with  not having the interpersonal skills to handle social situations such as business networking events, social mixers, or situations where you're supposed to meet new people, then you need a social coach.

How do you know you need one?

Here are some challenges others have asked for help with...

I'm told that I should be out speaking more to increase my visibility and get the name of my company out there. I'm not sure where to go and what to talk about. It seems like a lot of work -- and how can I be sure it's worth the time and effort? How exactly do I "launch" myself as a community speaker?

I'm participating in a panel presentation at an upcoming conference. I'm not sure of my role on the panel, and I don't want to monopolize the mic. How do you prepare for this kind of thing?

I struggle with how to communicate my credibility and value as a leader without sounding arrogant. Do you have any tips for that?

The last time I had to give a speech to my team, I could see they weren't very engaged. Can you help me capture their attention and keep their interest?

I have a podcast interview coming up. I don't know what questions the interviewer will ask -- and there are a few things I don't want to talk about. Can you help me get ready for this interview?

I have to give remarks at a launch party that's coming up for our new product line. I loathe giving speeches, but all eyes (and cameras) will be on me. What should I say?

I've helped professionals, students, and others handle public address situations like these and more... If you've accepted the challenge to become a more powerful public speaker and interpersonal communicator this year and need some strategies and support to achieve that, I'd love to help. I know I'm supposed to introduce myself and describe what I do at networking events, but I'm not sure I'm really showing my personal brand. I want to make sure I look and sound like I do what I say I do. Can you help with that?

Can you audit and evaluate my social platforms and help me make sure that who I am online matches who I am (and am striving to be) in real life?

The answer to all these questions is yes!

Here are some things Suzanna's clients have asked her to do for them:

In the words of one guest...

I want to THANK YOU for the invitation to the social event last night. I almost didn't go due to my social anxiety but I decided to push myself into something I've never done before that was also really scary to me. I'm so glad I went because although it was intimidating and scary, something good came of it! I needed something like this.
